Troop 316's annual Flag Retirement Ceremony is held every November 11, in honor of our Country and Veterans.

The requirements to become a Boy Scout are:
- Reaching the age of 11
- or completing the 5th grade
- or earning the Arrow of Light from Cub Scouts
The maximum age is 17.
