PNC Update October 5, 2025 Daniel Takanishi

I know it's been a minute since we last gave a update for the PNC on where we're at with a candidate. Last time we talked we were nearing the final stages of calling a pastor by being in an interview process with some local pastors within our presbytery to make sure that he would be a good fit for our church as well as for the presbytery itself. After we had that interview and discussion with those pastors we concluded that God had closed the door on that candidate. And so at this point, we are going to be meeting as a committee after church. And we are going to discuss next steps as we're going to start the process over. And so, we know that this is disappointing for everyone, and this has been a challenging season for us as well as everyone here. But we want to continue to  trust in God's plan and God's timing throughout this process.  We know that as God continues to close, open and close doors for us, that his timing is just always ultimately better than ours. And so we continue for us for discernment. Please continue to pray for us for wisdom and endurance as we continue this process.
